the pandemic has shown how wholly under resourced Ashbourne is with regards to green space. 
there was no public green space for families to enjoy and exercise in during the 2km/5km restrictions. Golf courses/GAA pitches and rough ground is not publicly accessible green space.

when compared to other towns Ashbourne has nothing on the same scale and it's an absolute disgrace. We all just walked the streets for months for exercise.

please ensure that the planning application for houses where the new public park is planned is rejected. Ashbourne residents deserve a proper park.
