Proposed Ashbourne Amendment No. 7

I completely agree with this proposal to amend the zoning from R/A Rural Area to F1 Open space

The town is in desperate need for a park. In all the time I have been living here there has been broken promise after broken promise about adressing the absence of open green space for the residents of Ashbourne. MCC's shameful lack of action to address the issue has been exposed by the recent pandemic. It became panifully obvious, to anyone who was not already aware, the town has very little open, publically accessible, green areas.

The original announcement of the park was met with an incredible positive response from the residents of Ashbourne. However, there were some who doubted the plan would go ahead due to sheer number of let downs that have happened in the past. It seems they were on to something.

The lands mentioned are essential to the plan for the proposed park for numerous reasons which have already been mentioned throughout all the other submissions that have been made, and by the original 32 Meath County Councillors who voted to zone other lands for the park.
