Having lived in Ashbourne for almost 50 years, from a time when we had no shops, no schools, no playground and poor transport links, it is wonderful to think that a community park of 80 acres is now finally a real possibility albeit a number of years down the line.  I would urge Meath County Council to at last try and give Ashbourne at least some of the wonderful facilities enjoyed by other major Meath towns for years, and rezone this 80 acres for amenity purposes as part of the County Development Plan.
