I wish to object strongly to the crazy plan for a park and ride at the hub site on Enfield Main Street, this is already a busy area with traffic and pedestrians going about their business.
Moving the bus stop to either end of the town where there ‘s a large car park at the train station and possibly land to the east to facilitate another car park ( maybe even Na Fianna’s car park Monday to Friday by agreement ). The town is big enough for two or even three bus stops either direction ,similar to Derrinturn and Kilcock for example.
Bus bays also need to be large enough to accommodate two buses and not be blocking the road as happens regularly .
With regards the bottle banks, they need to be away from residential areas because of noise etc, 99% of people drive to the bottle bank so maybe at the business park on the Trim road.
I believe this site should not be for 100+ commuters cars but for the 3,000+ people who call Enfield home.
