Application by Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ) for a Railway Order for the DART+ Coastal North Project

Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ) has applied to An Bord Pleanála for a Railway Order for the DART+ Coastal North Project. Subject to approval, the DART+ Coastal North Railway Order will authorise CIÉ to carry out railway works and all works necessary to enable construction, maintenance, improvement and operation of the railway between Dublin City Centre and Drogheda MacBride Station, including the Howth Branch (circa 50k). This rail improvement project will provide an extension of the existing electrified rail network from Malahide to Drogheda MacBride stations and will provide the infrastructure to facilitate an increase to the rail capacity on the Northern Line. A copy of the newspaper notice published in the Irish Independent and relevant local/regional newspapers circulating along the DART+ Coastal North route is available here.

Public queries should be referred to DART+ Coastal North Community Liaison Representative on 01 233 4515 or DARTCoastalNorth@irishrail.ie
