An chúis taobh thiar den chomhairliúchán

Ghlac Comhairle Chontae na Mí a céad scéime Teanga i 2006. Tá sé beartaithe ag an gComhairle anois an dara scéim a fhorbairt don tréimhse 2020-2023; de réir Alt 11 d’Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla 2003. Moltar go leanfaidh an Scéim ar feadh trí bliana ó Nollag 2020.

Is é príomhaidhm Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla infhaighteacht níos fearr agus caighdeán níos airde sheirbhísí trí mheán na Gaeilge a chinntiú. Táthar ag súil go dtógfaidh an Scéim úr ar an dul chun cinn a rinne an Chomhairle leis na blianta anuas ar sholáthar sheirbhísí trí Ghaeilge.

Irish Language Scheme 2020-2023:

Request for Submissions

Why we are launching a consultation

Meath County Council adopted its first Irish Language Scheme in June 2006. The Council now proposes to develop a second scheme for the period 2020-2023; in accordance with Section 11 of the Official Languages Act 2003. It is proposed that this Scheme will run for three years from December 2020.

The primary objective of the Official languages Act is to ensure better availability and a higher standard of services through Irish. It is anticipated that the new Scheme will build on and consolidate the progress made by the Council over the past number of years in delivering services through Irish.
