Meath County Council, in the exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, hereby gives notice that it has prepared a scheme to provide traffic calming on the R163 at Sillogue, Gibstown, Co. Meath.

This Scheme provides for:

  • Upgrade the existing Greenway access points to enhance footway links at the road crossing point, and to ensure suitable road sightlines for pedestrian safety at the Greenway crossing points while crossing to R-163,
  • Provision of appropriate traffic signs and road markings to complement existing signage and vehicle-activated signs. (VAS)
