Boyne Greenway, Navan to Oldbridge Emerging Preferred Route

Closed11 Dec, 2023, 9:00am - 9 Feb, 2024, 5:00pm

The Boyne Greenway Way, Navan to Oldbridge is a proposed greenway extending from Andy Brennan Park in Navan westwards to Oldbridge joining the existing greenway, an overall length of approximately 26km. It is envisaged to be a flagship scheme for tourism in the county with the potential to promote and enhance the local tourist economy, as well as providing a superior public leisure and recreation amenity for the county’s residents.

The Boyne Greenway is currently at Option Selection stage, and Meath County Council now presents the Emerging Preferred Route. A feasibility report has been carried out Navigation Restoration and based on this report it is proposed to progress the Navigation Restoration as a separate project to the greenway. A non-statutory public consultation is taking place from Monday 11th December 2023 until Monday 29th January 2024. Consultation with other key stakeholders will also progress simultaneously.  Information on the Council’s proposals and Emerging Preferred Route of the Boyne Greenway will be available to view online and at the locations below from 11 December 2023 to 29 January 2024.
