Draft Slane Public Realm Plan 2022

Meath County Council in conjunction with BDP Consultants has prepared a Draft Public Realm Plan for Slane.

The Draft Slane Public Realm Plan sets out the future approach to the design of streets and public spaces in the village. The plan includes proposals for the redesign of the junction on the square, the creation of a new village garden and improved recreational connections along the southern approach to the village.

 

The Draft Plan and accompanying Natura Impact Statement is available to view from Wednesday the 19th of January to Friday 18th  of February 2022, inclusive at the following locations:

  • Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath, C15 Y291. Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 1.00pm & 2.00pm and 5.00pm
  • Slane Library, Castle Hill, Slane, C15 XWFS during normal public opening hours.

The Draft Slane Public Realm Plan and accompanying Natura Impact Statement is also available on Meath County Council’s online consultation portal https://consult.meath.ie/  

Making a Submission

Submissions can be made on the Draft Slane Public Realm Plan via the following two options only;

  1. Online at https://consult.meath.ie/ where you can then make a submission on the draft Public Realm Plan.
  2. Written observations or submissions can also be made. These should be marked ‘Draft Public Realm Plan for Slane’and submitted to the Planning Department, Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath C15 Y291. Observations or submissions must include the full name and address of the person(s) making the submission and where relevant, the body or organisation represented. Please note that observations or submissions will be made public on the website and at the offices of the Planning Department.

Please note submissions that are emailed cannot be considered and will be returned. 

Observations or submissions must be received by 4.00 pm on Friday 18th of February 2022.

 All observations or submissions received during the above time period will be taken into consideration before the making of the final Public Realm Plan.
