Litir Chumhdaigh

I am a resident of Ashbourne for 14 years and I wish for my family to have access to a public park for their physical and mental well being .

Ashbourne

The current 80 acres identified for rezoning as public greenspace is ideal as situated at Killegland Farm.  The quality of life for residents of Ashbourne would be immeasurably improved.  Lands at Churchfields which have been identified as a suitable entrance should NOT have houses built upon them.  Based on Ashbourne's ever increasing population, 80 acres is the absolute minimum required as is substantiated by the various expert reports already submitted to the council.  Once the land is secured, multiple funding channels can be accessed.  It is simply heartbreaking to live amongst a superb community that is so obviously deserving of this green space and to consistently have barriers put in the park's way by those whose function it is is to serve the public and particularly the residents of County Meath.  Please take heed of the submissions in respect of this vital issue and the ever growing frustration being felt by the residents of Ashbourne - please fulfill the potential of a vibrant town and the children within it by providing us with the public space as unanimously voted for by 32 Meath County Councillors.
