Millbourne Residents Association  would like to make an observation on Meath County Development Plan 2021-2027 Material Amendment No 4. We fully support MCC decision to amend zoning within Millbourne housing estate from A1 ‘Existing Residential’ to F1 ‘Open Space’.

At the same time we would like to note that public open space provision in the Millbourne housing estate, with the
newly rezoned lands amounts to 4.7% of the overall Millbourne housing estate, which is still significantly below the
existing Development Plan standard of 15%. Any housing estate, including Millbourne estate is required to have
open space for recreational use within the area of the estate as per Irish Planning Acts, Ministerial guidelines and as
per Meath County Development Plan.
