I would like to make an submission in relation to the proposed distributor road that is suggested in the Draft Meath COunty Development Plan 2021-2027 and also suggested in the Proposed Dunboyne/Clonee/Pace Amendment No 5.
I am a resident in [Redacted_Personal Information] and this is of concern to me as I fail to see the requirement of this road to be developed in the area for the following reasons:
- Most of the surrounding area is already reaching completion for development. Facebook already have created their own access route and therefore a new distributor road is not required to aid this development.
- This new proposed distributor road is only going to lead to more traffic being filtered into the Kilbride road which has already over the past few years been inflitrated with traffic. This road is unable to deal with the current traffic level it is subjected to.
I would also request confirmation that this proposed distributor road is not going to lead to the section of the Kilbride road from The Mayne to Clonee village to be closed off in the future. This is a crutial link for residents to access amenities, services and access to schools along with critical emergency access for elderly people in the area.
