Meath Adopted County Development Plan

The plan has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Sections 11 and 12 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2021. It is accompanied by an Environmental Report, prepared in accordance with the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 and an Appropriate Assessment, pursuant to Article 6 of the Habitats Directive.

The Plan takes effect from 3 November, 2021.

In accordance with Section 31 of the Planning & Development Acts (as amended), Deputy Peter Burke, Minister for Local Government and Planning issued a Draft Direction to Meath County Council with respect to the Plan. The following Material Amendments are subject to the Draft Direction and will go through a separate consultation process.

  • Slane MA04
  • Dunshaughin MA02
  • Summerhill MA02
  • Trim MA06
  • Ratoath MA03

You should take note when reading the plan that the zoning of these lands will be not be determined until the draft direction process is complete.
